Join us at Dalkeith Palace on Saturday 26 August at 6.30pm for a celebration of the life of Elizabeth Montagu (1743-1827), 3rd Duchess of Buccleuch, through dance, music, poetry and costume from the Georgian Age.
This trove of delights will feature Historical Dance group Autrefois and the Edinburgh Quadrille Society, performing Baroque and Regency dance, including compositions by Elizabeth’s own ward, Ignatius Sancho, the first African to publish his music in Britain. We are especially fortunate to welcome Early Music Vocalist Héloïse Bernard, who will be accompanied by Tim Macdonald on Baroque violin and square piano with Mark Summers on cello.
Tickets cost £18 or £15 for concessions (students, OAPs and EQS members)
