The International Baroque Consort is focusing on Spanish Baroque music, a celebration of Spain in the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as music with strong Spanish ties. The programme will feature music by Joaquín Martínez de la Roca, anonymously composed music set to the words of Lope de Vega, Juan Francisco Escuder, Diego Ortiz, Sebastián Durón, and Giuseppe Antonio Paganelli. This music is rare and some of it has been buried and/or forgotten. The IBC's future plans include a professional recording of the concert series, and making available arrangements and editions of the music on our website.  We are excited to bring this unique and unfamiliar music to audiences around the United Kingdom this year.
