On Sunday November 6th the Linarol Consort of Viols will be performing Epitaph for a Green Lover with soprano Heloise Bernard. The music is from the song books of Marguerite of Austria (1480-1530) who was a patron of the arts. She possessed a collection of treasures and her library included several chansonniers containing works by Josquin, Ockeghem, Obrecht and Pierre de la Rue. She commissioned several illuminated manuscripts as gifts for political allies relatives.
